January 30th 2006: Tennis Australia has announced that Jelena would
eventually be playing for Australia in Fed Cup competition...
January 29th 2006: Well, news.. Looks like Jelena actually withdrew
from the tournament in Pattaya, hopefully we'll have more info soon...
January 29th 2006: By the way, just a couple of infos if you did not
know, Jelena will be playing her next tournament in Pattaya, Thailand, a
tournament scheduled to start in one week. Also, we had reported that
Jelena was being coached by Australian coach Lesley Bowrey, well she did
drop him just before this year's Australian Open...
January 16th 2006: Well, Jelena had her chances, even had a match
point but she eventually lost 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 to Virginie Razzano in the
Australian Open first round...:( More soon..
January 14th 2006:
Jelena
is now playing in the Australian Open, finally:) She is now in
Melbourne, you can see the full draw
here:) In
her first match, Jelena will face France's Virginie Razzano, that match is scheduled to be
the 2nd match played on MCA stadium:) Good luck Jelena:)
January 6th 2006: Jelena unfortunately announced she had parted ways
with her coach already (more on that soon), and also she withdrew from
next week's action because of a left abductor injury that she suffered
during her match in Auckland...
January 2nd 2006: Sadly, Jelena's run in Auckland ended today, she
was close and battled hard but then nothing went well in the third set
and she was finally defeated 5-7, 7-6, 6-1 by Julia Schruff...Unfortunately,
Jelena had over 50 unforced errors and around 20 double faults...!
January 1st 2006: Wow... another sign of changing times, Todd Spiker
has something to write about, he just wrote a very interesting column: "44
short thoughts about Jelena Dokic"!!
