DAMIR Dokic has taken
professional tennis coaching to new levels - by refusing
to discuss the sport with his daughter and protege Jelena.
Heaping further embarrassment
on the young woman who walked out of the Australian game
after she had been the centre of a six-figure investment,
Damir Dokic will not answer any of Jelena's questions
ahead of the US Open starting on Monday.
"He (Damir) has been to a few
tournaments, but he doesn't want to travel as much," Dokic
said.
"I always have problems with
tennis and go to him and he tells me what to think about.
But now there are questions I want answered and he doesnt
want to talk about tennis so much anymore. He says he's
done enough and he's taken a step back a little bit. I
ask him a lot more about tennis than he wants to tell me"
