After beating the swiss no1, Martina Hingis, last week at Montreal, Jelena will face now the swiss no2, Patty Schnyder, today.

The 21 year old girl from Basel has already won 7 WTA-titles, 5 of them in 1998, the last one in 2001. That was also the year when the left handed player got to meet Jelena for the first and second time and she lost both occasions.

In 2002 they met twice again and Jelena won at Sarasota 6-1 and 7-5 and had to retire at Antwerp at 4-6, 6-4 and 1-1, and so Pattys appearence at the tournament of Antwerp became one of her best that year. She reached the semifinal there and only lost to Justine Henin in 3 sets. That semifinal should be counted about as high as her 4th round at Roland Garros, where she lost to Capriati, but at Charleston she played probably the tournament of her life!

She beat Ruano Pascual, Mauresmo, Pierce, S.Williams and Capriati, a list of players that could get you to win a Grand-Slam! But unfortunately Patty lost the final to Iva Majoli, and so she has shown a review of her whole career in only one week. She has proven that she can beat anyone on the tour, and loose to almost every player, too. She got the abilities to reach the very top, but usually throws that possibilies away.

Patty used to have a relationship with a guy who was already sued in germany for forging dukuments and deception, blamed her parents acting like the taliban, and self-descibes her as calm and realistic??? She beats Capriati, Mauresmo and S.Williams in one week to loose to Majoli! Those who dont understand Jelenas decisions should really have a go on understanding the 1.68 meters tall girl from Switzerland.

The 5th match between Jelena and Patty will start today at about 9pm local time, which is 6pm in Los Angeles, 2am (thursday) in London and 3am (thursday) in Belgrade.
