"The year 2001 was pretty good, my body condition was good,
especially due to my physical training. "
Interviewer"how was your off time?"
D, I took a holiday in Yugoslavia for 6 weeks. After that I
excercised tennis. I used to train with Martina, but this
time I didn't play with her"

"When you lose a match, how do you manage?"
D "I am not so upset and I can change my mood

"What is your personality"
D "Difficult question (laughes) hard to say for me..I am
different on court and off court, I'm very serious on court,
but I'm open mind and cheerful in private time.

"What is your favorite shot?"
D "I don't have special shot while at the same time I don't
have weak point. I can use every shot equally, even in
practice I try using every shot"

what is your fav tournament"
D "hard to say one tournament, but I think Tokyo (Toray Pan
Pacific Open) is very well organized, so I like it.

"What is your favourite court surface?"
D "Grass court and Clay court"

"what is your favourite city"
D "I like Rome. It is hard to find time to see a city when I
play a tournament, but when I have free time, Rome is good
city for sightseeing". I also like shopping and Rome is
attractive in that point. people are cheerful. I am suited
for Italian open. I fancy Italian food, it is really
delicious"

"Which tournament do you really want to win the most?"
D "Wimbledon or Rolland Garros"

Who is your best friend among players?"
D "None specifically, but I speak and train with every
player"

"Do you have big rivalries ?"
D "Every player is a rival, other players also think so,
don't they?"

"When do you feel happiness as tennis player"
D" When I win the match, I feel great happiness"

What is the hardest aspect of your career"
D" I am always packing and I must always stay in very good
physical condition"

What kind of fashion do you like?"
D" Except tennis outfits(laugh), I try wearing everything.
my favourite color is blue. My eyes are blue, so I love
blue. About tennis wear, I like one-piece, cuz looks cute
and active"

During offtime, what do you like to do ?
D" Sightseeing, shopping, listening to music. watching
movies, "Notthing hill" was very good, I like Julia Roberts.
I
" What is your target in this season?"
D "I think it is hard to keep a top 10 ranking so I
want to maintaine a top 10 ranking. I would also like to
play many tournaments getting better results and a higher
ranking.

"What is your motivation as tennis player?"
D "a comepetitive spirit. I need it. I can't renounce at any
point of a match.. If I keep a competitive spirit, and
I always train hard every day, I will reach great levels
that I have never experienced and I can also use that
motivation to be in good physical shape..
D
"What is your ultimate tennis objective for your career ?"
I" I want to be No.1, as everyone else but not everyone can
reach that point.. However I want to access the #1
ranking, as soon as possible. If I can reach #1, I will be
very happy. Anyway I will try to do my best.
