Another Doubles Partner, Another Victory

Jelena Dokic and Daja Bedanova went on the court today to play against 27 years old Dutch tennis player Amanda Hopmans and another 27 years old tennis player Patty Van Acker from Belgium.

It was very hard to find any information regarding these two players. I couldn't find any Patty's picture on the internet, nor any good results in her tennis career. Actually, she has never played Grand Slams matches. The other one was Amanda Hopmans, an experienced tennis player whose last important doubles result came in Estoril in 2000 year, where she, teamed up with C. Torrens-Valero failed to win the title.
I found watching the match live for a very interesting thing, and to see these two players new for me, but very old tennis players, and also to see how will Dokic play with her new doubles partner Daja Bedanova.

It's never easy when you team-up with some other player. You need to get used to his game, to feel like the team on the court, so this was a very good opportunity for Dokic and Bedanova to see how it works when they play together, to get some practice and have fun. And it was like that.
The quality of their opponents really allowed them to go for their shots. As the match progressed, it was obviously who will be the better team, not only on paper. Dokic and Bedanova started the match with some hard hitting, great moving and with many good rallies. The balls were placed very deep from Dokic and Bedanova's side of the court.

With some great mixing up, and slice and top spin game, Hopmans and Van Acker could only watch the scoreboard in hope to stay at least one moment more on the court. They just didn't know what to do with the balls, because Dokic and Bedanova were putting them under a lot of pressure.

With some good angles and with many powerful shots, the team really never looked back, and played like how best doubles team do. Everything went well for Dokic and Bedanova. The team that has never won a doubles title, really couldn't do more. Jelena Dokic and Daja Bedanova defeated Amanda Hopmans and Patty Van Acker 6-1, 6-4.
