Jelena Dokic def. Jill
Craybas 6-2 and 6-1
Jelena had a bad start into the match as she lost the
opening two games, but after she shocked her fans, she got
herself together and demolished a completely strained
Craybas.
Being 0-2 down, Dokic won the next 11 straight games, where
she only needed 6 break-points to gain 5 breaks, to advance
her lead to 6-2 and 5-0, before she allowed Craybas to win
her third and last game of the day.
Jelena, played fantastic tennis. She showed her best serve,
played an excellent return game, and scored winner after
winner. Today she was just hot for tennis. Even as Craybas
had a double-fault, she looked quite annoyed about it, as it
took her the opportunity away to hit, hit, hit...... She
went for every single point during the whole match and tried
to hit winners out of every impossible ancle, which mostly
even worked out!
Craybas was not playing to bad at all, but Jelena just took
advantage, of her opponent not really having a winning shot,
and dominated the game, as she liked it.
Later on today, Jelena and Nadja Petrova won their doubles
quarterfinal vs. Eleni Daniilidou and Caroline Vis 6-4 and
6-3.
Looked like this girl had fun out there today :-)
Jelenas quarter final opponent will be Chanda Rubin. Of
course Jelena-Dokic.com will offer a preview about that
match, soon.
